Hello! My name is Karen Barbi and I am a licensed psychologist, board-certified behavior analyst, and certified life coach. I offer a variety of support. Feel free to read on or contact me directly!

In Psychotherapy, my goal is to help you lean into your values, learn new tools, and make systematic changes that will help you reach your personalized, achievable goals! While managing current stressors and building positive habits, I take a solution-focused approach that helps you move forward.  I focus on children, adolescents, and adults struggling with social relationships, conflict, anxiety, ADHD, stress, life transitions, and experiencing general emotional challenges.

Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluations are a passion of mine. My intent is to help you understand the underpinnings of your (or your child’s) struggles, identify strengths, and build a road map that can guide you in making decisions and taking the next step. I offer a variety of testing options including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Anxiety Disorders, etc.

Parent Consultation and Support is a positive platform where I can support and guide you through everyday challenges/stress, build plans to make it a bit easier, and be present alongside you. I am also a board-certified behavior analyst and parent allowing me to understand the embedded challenges that parents face and can suddenly arise.

CB Life Coaching is a powerful supportive technique that helps clients gain perspective on how to move forward positively.  The Coach and client work together to identify what might be stopping an individual from reaching his or her full potential and what action is needed to take charge of the situation. This is a forward-focused approach, with clear goals, and a purposeful path.

 

Educational Consultation is a service that provides support to families who are navigating the IEP or 504 plan process.  I have years of professional and personal experience working along side parents and school staff.   Consultation can make this journey just a tad bit easier for you.
